What a Better Way to Start a Blog!

Number 5 came like a gift from the Gods,
In Istanbul and against all the odd,
Jose, Sir Alex and the rest beneath us,
Europe's best could not defeat us.
Now Athens awaits and history repeats,
Milan again! Can we equal past feats?
Scousers with cameras will take the pics,
Of Stevie and Rafa and Number Six!

What can be a better way to start off a blog then the heat to a European Cup Finals!

Liverpool FC vs AC Milan

Come 3.oo am Malaysian time 24th of May 2007, all football fans would be glued to the BOX. You could be a Man U, a Chelsea, a Barcelona or a Roma fan, you would be up with a packet of chips and a cup of coffee or Coke, watching the best teams in Europe fighting their hearts out for the ultimate trophy....

THE EUROPEAN CUP

The Greek capital would have been invaded by a sea of RED by the time you had read this. Somewhere between 25,000 and 40,000 Liverpool fans are expected to go to the match. Liverpool will be wearing their customary RED jersey while Milan will be in their WHITE Jerseys.

Being Kings of Europe 5 times in 1977, 1978, 1981, 1984 and 2005, 3 UEFA Cups, 18 League Titles, 7 FA Cups and 7 League Cups, make Liverpool the most successful English Club.

Having players like Steven Gerrard (Voted the best player in the 2004/05 Champions League), Jamie Carragher and Pepe Reina, Liverpool would definitely be in the running to pull this one off. With the tactical brain's of Benitez and the brilliant set of staff such as Pako Ayestaran his Assistant Manager and Alex Miller the First Team Coach, Liverpool should make it No. 6!

Some Interesting Banner Wordings you would see in Athens Courtersy of Liverpool FC Official Web Page.
